Relevant Coursework

Research and Writing with Nonprofit Organizations (Civics 165SL)          Fall 2018

In this service learning course, I led my team as the Project Manager where we partnered with the Museum of Tolerance to create a digital story map detailing the Museum’s impact on their visiting students. I was able to develop a project plan and assist my group members in completing all aspects of the project. We digitized and archived multiple boxes of thank you cards, pictures, drawings, and more to showcase the vast amount of students that have visited and been impacted by the Museum. We presented our project to the Museum of Tolerance staff as well as provided them with documents for continuing this project at the conclusion of our course.

Introduction to Digital Humanities (DH 101) Fall 2018

As the Project Manager of my team, I organized and led a group of 5 other students in completing a data visualization and synthesis project on the Internet’s effects on the evolution of popular music. In this class I learned various softwares such as Tableau, Palladio, Breve, and Voyant Tools.

User Experience Design (IS 279)                                                                              Fall 2018

For this course, I assisted the UCLA Dean of Students office in a complete user experience analysis of their website. By conducting user interviews, usability tests and data analysis, I was able to assess their site and provide detailed recommendations on how they can improve their site’s usability. I developed a project plan and presented all research findings and conclusions in a 50 minute presentation to thirteen UCLA employees.

Health and Society (Philosophy 155B)                                                                   Spring 2018

I was able to explore the relationship between health and society by studying the impact they have on each other. While most of this class was geared toward the ethical perspective of the matter, our readings and assignments asked us to look at the tangible affects of increased healthcare seen throughout cultures.
